Breakfast Granola Cups Recipe

We have shared with you previously 3 dessert recipes. using oats.  We came across a delicious recipe on "Proper Tasty" which we would love to share it with you.

Granola Cups Recipe

We tried it and its delicious yet very easy to prepare. Soon it will be a favourite dish in your house especially between kids. It can be served for breakfast or snack.

Ingredients for 12 cups:

- 2 bananas

- 100g honey

- 1 tsp almond extract

- 125g rolled oats

- 1 tsp cinnamon

- Pinch of Salt

- 6-8 small yoghurt packs 

- 30-40 different type of berries. (Our preference is blueberry, raspberry and strawberry)

Our Ideas: 

- Add dried fruits such as dried apples, dried apricots, dried raisins or dried cocnut

- Add nut seeds

- Try different types of oats that we offer here

1- Mash 2 bananas (see thier health benefits here) in a small bowl then add the honey and almond extract. Mix well and set a side.

2- Mix the rolled oats, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a large bowl then add the banana mixture and mix well.

3- Transfer the mix to a muffin tray and press in the middle to form a cup shape.

4- Chill for 1-2 hours then bake for 10-12 minutes at 175 C

5- Leave to cool for 10-20 minutes then fill with yoghurt and decorate with the berries mix.
